Auditions for the 2007-08 inaugural Orlando Sharks Dance Squad are on the calendar!
The Sharks will hold the first round of auditions on Saturday, September 22 at Hard Drive Productions Dance Studio (4075 L.B. McLeod Road Suite G in Orlando). Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. and the judging begins at 5:00 p.m. $20.00 APPLICATION FEE.
Dance combinations of a variety of styles will be taught at the audition. Please bring a headshot and professional/dance resume in order to register. Contact Orlando Sharks team photographer Wayne Sysock at www.sysock.com or 407-748-2654 for head shots and full body photos.
Interviews
Interviews with front office staff will take place at the Sharks office the week of Sept. 24. Those dancers selected will be contacted and asked to make an appointment.
Finals
The date, time and location of finals will be announced.
Requirements:
- Female dancers 18 years and older by Sept. 22, 2007
- Previous experience in jazz and hip-hop, and ballet, modern and tumbling skills are a bonus
- Available for all phases of the audition process with no exceptions
- Provide a non-returnable headshot and resume
- Live in Central Florida
- Dependable transportation to rehearsals, games and appearances
- Flexible schedule and ability to commit to the Sharks schedule, including but not limited to rehearsals, home games, community and charitable events, and last-minute appearances for ONE FULL YEAR.
Attire:
- Dance or athletic half-top (stomach must be showing)
- Hot pants or shorts (no full length pants)
- Dance sneakers or tennis shoes with non-marking soles
- Flesh tone hose, tights, or fishnets
- Performance ready hair and make-up
