LA LEY 1410-AM TO BE "OFFICIAL SPANISH VOICE"

The Orlando Sharks, Central Florida’s professional soccer team, today announced a multi-year partnership with Radio La Ley to be the “Official Spanish Voice of the Sharks.” The station, 1410-AM WQBQ, will broadcast live the entire 30-game schedule of the Sharks for each of the team’s first three seasons. Talent for the games will be announced at a later date.  The Sharks commence their first Major Indoor Soccer League season with the Opening Night Gala against the New Jersey Ironmen on October 26 at 7:35 p.m. at Amway Arena.

“The Latino community has really rallied behind the launch of the Sharks already these past two years,” said Team President Rich Bradley. “We hoped that we could continue to build on those connections by bringing all of our games to Spanish radio, and we are thrilled to have found a great partner and home for the Sharks in Jose Lopez and Radio La Ley, allowing us to be the only US-based MISL team making this level of investment in its community.”

Radio La Ley has been broadcasting out of Leesburg for 14 years and its signal reaches beyond Orlando and south to Kissimmee. The station offers a wide variety of defined 24-hour programming for the Mexican and Central American communities, including local reports from the Mexican Consulate, national and international news, World Pop music, and live concerts and sporting events.

“We’re excited to partner with the Orlando Sharks as their official Spanish station,” said Radio La Ley General Manager Jose W. Lopez. “Soccer is very important in our community and we’re looking forward to helping the Sharks spread the indoor game.”

Radio La Ley is now one of only two Spanish radio stations to broadcast Orlando professional teams, joining La Grande 1030-AM, the Spanish home of the Orlando Magic. The Sharks join La Raza de Monterrey as the only two teams in the MISL to broadcast their games in Spanish.

The Orlando Sharks, Central Florida’s professional soccer team, begin their 30-game inaugural season with the Opening Night Gala on October 26 against the New Jersey Ironmen. There are 15 games at Amway Arena to experience all of the fast-paced, high-scoring family fun of Orlando’s newest sports entertainment attraction at a great value.
