SHARKS GET READY TO TRAVEL INTO UNCHARTED WATERS

(Orlando, FL-November 5, 2007)-The Orlando Sharks venture out of the friendly confines of The Shark Tank for the first time this weekend as they travel up to Baltimore for a rematch with the Blast on Saturday November 10 at 7:35 pm at the 1st Mariner Arena.

The Match-Up

The upcoming contest is the back-end of a home and home series with the first place club from Baltimore.  On November 3, the Blast defeated the Sharks 17-6.  After a spirited and tight first half, which saw the score tied at 4 at the intermission, the Blast opened things up with a goal by Defender Mike Lookingland a minute and a half into the third quarter.  The Blast recorded 4 goals in the fourth quarter, including a short handed goal by Mid-Fielder Brian Watson.

Shark Attack

The Sharks did their best to keep the score close early.  After falling behind 4-0 after the first quarter; the team went on the offensive and rallied to tie the score with two goals in the second quarter.  The first was by Forward Mauricio Ruiz, who netted his first of the year and the second by Defender JP Rodrigues who tallied his second of the season, making him the only Shark to score in the first two regular games.  Goal-Keeper Paul Nagy pitched a shutout in the second quarter as he faced six shots and turned them all away to keep the score tied heading into the second half.  Veteran Defender Bill Sedgewick closed out the Sharks scoring when he notched his first goal of the season at the end of the fourth quarter.
