Sharks Look To Ride The Wave In Milwaukee

The Orlando Sharks (0-3) hit the road for the second consecutive week as they head to Milwaukee to take on the Wave (1-2) this Saturday at U.S. Cellular Arena.  The Sharks are coming off of a hard fought loss in Baltimore against the Blast on Saturday November 10th in a game that saw the team trail 8-0 five minutes into the contest.  After a spirited comeback in which the Sharks cut the lead to 8-7 mid-way through the third quarter, the Blast put the game away with two quick goals in the fourth quarter for a 14-7 victory.

The Match-Up

The upcoming contest is the first ever meting between the expansion Sharks and the long standing Wave, who are the longest running professional indoor soccer team in North America.  This season marks the 24th consecutive season for the Milwaukee franchise.

Previous Game

The Orlando Sharks took their show on the road for the first time this season as they traveled to Baltimore to take on the three-time MISL Champion Blast for the second time in a week.  The outcome was virtually identical to the first meeting at Amway Arena in Orlando on November 3rd as the Sharks came out on the wrong end of a 14-7 loss in front of a raucous crowd at the 1st Mariner Arena in downtown Baltimore.

Sharks Head Coach Jake Dancy did his best to keep the team in the game and showed how with a little more seasoning and experience the Sharks will reach the elite level and eventually climb to the top of the league standings themselves.  The team played with heart and determination as they battled all night and proved they will not roll over for anyone in this, their inaugural season.

Shark Attack

The offensive attack for the Sharks was led by several players who notched their first goals of the season.  Simba Harris and Micki Djerisilo each netted two point goals, while Dion Jagroo nailed a three-pointer.  Goal-Keeper Paul Nagy stood out once again and showed that he will keep the Sharks competitive in every game this season as he turned away countless chances and came away with 13 saves.
