Sharks Release 2008-2009 Season Schedule

The Orlando Sharks and the National Indoor Soccer League have released the finalized team schedules for the 2008-2009 inaugural season of the NISL.

Orlando will have a tough start, facing the two finalists who appeared in the Major Indoor Soccer League’s last championship final.

The Sharks begin their season in Baltimore on Friday, November 15th against the Blast, the last champions of the now dissolved MISL.  The Sharks then play their first home game at the Amway Arena on Friday, November 28th at 7:35 pm against Monterrey La Raza, the team who lost to the Blast last April in the MISL Final in Milwaukee.

Each of the Sharks nine home games will be based on themed party nights as they did last season, continuing to carry the high entertainment value that fans experienced last year.

“We’re excited to get the new season underway, and to be playing the best teams in professional indoor soccer,” said Sharks President Rich Bradley of the new season.  “There are no easy teams on the schedule, but the addition of some of the best goal scorers in the game today to the Sharks’ roster should position us to be competitive in a very tough league.”

The Sharks earlier announced the signing of four players, Enrique Tovar, Hewerton Moreira, Ryan Mack and Ricardinho, each having scored over 50 points last season for their respective teams.  The top goal scorer last season for the Sharks was Miki Djerisilo, who managed to tally only 48 points.

Season tickets are on sale for as low as $146 and can be purchased at the Sharks ticket office at 5200 Vineland Road in Orlando, or by calling (407) 403-6300.
